FAQ

What kind of films are considered feminist films?

There is no one template for a feminist film. We accept narrative, documentary, animated, and experimental films covering all sorts of topics. See our Programming page to learn more about past screenings.

When will I know if my film has been accepted?

We will be notifying everyone, both accepted and rejected, in mid-August.

How will I be notified?

If you submit via our website, you will receive an email from us. If you submit with FilmFreeway, Withoutabox, or FestHome, you will receive a notification through that service.

What if the link I submitted is not the final rendering of my film?

That’s okay! As long as your film will be completed by the end of August, you can send us the final version once you receive your acceptance notification.

Will prizes be awarded?

Prizes will not be awarded, as we are aiming to showcase a wide range of talent and voices from all ages and skill levels.

How does the film fest work?

GRFFF is run entirely by volunteers and is made possible through community partnerships and sponsors. And we're always looking for more!  Get Involved >
